No Bad Vibes//
I’ve collaborated with Brit, owner of Haven + Flux, last year for her fall and winter collection content – hands down, it was such a rejuvenating and fun branding session. You can find those photos here, as with all the holiday craziness that went on I forgot to write a blog about it! Ultimately, I had my canoe strapped to the back of my truck bed, Brit had her jeep all ready to go with the set ups and off we went to Truckee to shoot!
I was beyond ecstatic when Brit reached out about working together for her next collections that were to drop this year. We went right to work with schedule and planning the first collection that was released last week! This Lovers and Friends collection includes Mob Wife Mentality (Sicilian Lemon • Wild Jasmine • Santal), Twin Flame Kind of Bond (Amalfi Lemon Zest • Orange Blossoms • Shaved Clove) and Love Something Fierce (Rich Plum • Sweet Jasmine • Exotic Amber).
The content was very clean, minimalistic with some elegance, textures and sexiness mixed in. We had a blast vibing to the Mob Wife candle Spotify playlist (if you’re not yet familiar with her candles – each candle has a curated playlist you can access by scanning it’s QR code) and mixing up dirty martinis.
Brit has an amazing energy in her and a burning passion for what she does. I feel like I am a good judge of character as something I got from my mom. I remember the first time I meant Brit through mutual friends over dinner in Victorian Square, we automatically clicked. I could tell we shared the same work ethic and approached life similarly.
The night before this session, I wanted to take a deeper dive and get more inspired by learning more about various topics such as still life and fine art photography to mention a couple. We were both so happy with the results and can’t wait to shoot next month’s collection! 🙂
