Beach Daze // Senior Graduation Lake Tahoe Nevada Portrait Session
— YES please! I was so excited when Jessica reached out to me about her senior photos at the lake! BIG congratulations to her for her acceptance into TCU! With all the snow and winter storms we’ve received this year, looking at the weather report for the month was my first move. The day that we booked had a winter storm coming in that afternoon lasting through the next day. Jessica was SUCH a trooper and wanted to continue with the session that morning in 30 degree weather. We took coat/blanket breaks throughout the session to keep her as toasty as we could and she made that incoming storm look like 70 degree weather! 🙂 The clouds of the incoming storm in the distance were so unique! The extra vibe it gave the photos was amazing!
She showed me her two outfits and we decided on her beautiful flowy earth toned dress on the beach first and then her TCU tshirt and jeans for the second trail/tree shots! We also took the weather into consideration being that the storm was coming in – this worked out perfect as it started snowing a little bit during the second part of the session! 🙂 This was my first time using a pop up changing tent! It worked out great — the winds were wild, so I placed and held it against the lifeguard tower. With the storm quickly approaching, I decided to add in the motion blur in post instead of via my camera settings to ensure that we captured all that shots with both outfits and locations!
Jessica — Wishing you the best of luck on your new beginnings and congratulations again on this AMAZING new opportunity!
