Love Boat // Modern Romantic Canoe on Lake Reno Nevada Elopement Engagement Session x AW bridal

// Love Story

Shooting a session in a canoe has been on my list and I knew that is what I wanted to try to execute as soon as AW Bridal reached out about the Janet gown! It’s a show stopping mini A-line gown with eye-catching strapless puff sleeves and a princess corset style sweetheart neckline. Jen and Leo were my models and they are actually in love! đŸ™‚ This made the session even more special and made me excited to be able to capture their authentic love.

HAMU was done by Jules Small – She killed it with a natural, yet slightly bold smoky eye look on Jen and left her hair loose, simple and sleek cascading down her back. Once we got to the location, we tested the paddles out – since the paddles have no oar locks it was difficult to steer the canoe in the strong wind! Once we got the canoe back to shore, I decided that is where we were going to shoot the session.

The charcuterie board was designed by The Wheyfarer located in Midtown serves quality, hard to find, artisan and gourmet cheeses from around the world – The colors and textures of the items couldn’t have been more beautiful! Not to mention, everything on the board tasted phenomenally (highly recommend them!). We were so excited to dig in and celebrate with what leftover champagne there was after the spray. Jen and Leo absolutely melted my heart!

The entire shoot was a blast from me trying to not get stuck in the mud, them trying to balance in the canoe during the champagne spray to the sunset showing off- It was a magical evening! My amazing husband had our six month old daughter and assisted throughout the sesh! đŸ™‚ I am so grateful for him! This session was one for the books!
